Bethlehem Plowboys 5 Tribury Twisters 4
Rob Geraci threw a complete game with 5 strikeouts. Joe Fainer 2-3 with 2 RBI’s, Teddy Gravel and Greg Campbell both had RBI’s.
Winsted Whalers 4 East Mountain Cougars 0
Winsted defeats East Mountain 4-0 behind a efficient pitching performance by Austin Brochu. Brochu needed only 60 pitches to complete the shutout. He struck out 3 and only gave up one hit. Adrian had the lone hit for East Mountain. Winsted was led at the plate by; Ricky Langer (2H, RBI, R), Austin Brochu (H, 2RBI), Charlie Putnam (2H- including a triple, RBI)
Blasius Chevrolet 5 Tri-Town Trojans 3
As a tough week became a must win game, the Baby Blasius came up big. David Sacco pitched a complete game striking out nine while giving up three runs. Offensively Fran Phelan, Colby Linnell drove in a run and scored a run a piece. While Conor Goggins has a single that drove in two. For Tri-town Miles Scribner pitched a compete game, and Sam Shurberg drove in all three runs. Blasius continues the chase for the states Saturday at The Hotch at 10am against Canton. Litchfield Cowboys 7 Valley Thunder 6
Litchfield came out on top over Valley Thunder in a nail biter 7-6. Thunder rallied in the top of the 5th going up 6-5, scoring 4 runs on rbi doubles from nick Forino, 2-4, and Donny Eck, 2-4. Kyle daddona also went 2-3 on the night. The Cowboys mounted a comeback in the bottom of the 5th with 2 outs on a double by Edwin Pequignot, 2-4, game tying double by Brooks Belter, 1-3, and go ahead rbi single by Steve Consiglio, 1-3. Cowboys played solid defense late in the game to hold the potent offense of the thunder. Cowboys play Saturday against Wolcott in hopes of making 4th place.
Wolcott Scrappers 6 Southington 66ers 5
Matt Warren (1-2 2BB, 2R, 2 SB) homered on the first pitch of the game to set the tone for Wolcott. Jack Drewery had an rbi double, Ryan Soucy an rbi single and Kyle Dean a two run triple to contribute. Tyler Smith threw a complete game. Tim Jalbert hit a towering three run homerun in the bottom of the seventh to make it interesting.
Terryville Black Sox7 Amenia Monarchs 2
The Black Sox continue to click as the season winds down with a 7-2 victory over the Monarchs. The Black Sox leading 3-2 in the bottom of the third gave the ball to Kody kerski who inherited a bases loaded one out jam and struck the next two batters finishing the game with 4 2/3 innings striking out 9. Terryville was lead at the plate by Tony Patane 2-3 2 doubles, Kyle Skidmore 2-3 2RBI, and Christian Callahan 2 RBI. Tyler Wenz also went 2-3. Amenia was led by Tom Downey Jr with 2 hits. Terryville battles Bristol on Saturday with a win giving them their first Tri-State regular season title.
Burlington Hunters 6 Torrington Rebels 2
The Hunters beat the Rebels 6-2 behind professional pitching performances from Alex Stackpole and Anthony Zumstag. The game was tied 2-2 going into the 7th inning thanks to a tight professional game by both teams. Despite their best attempt to lose the game by leaving a league record 16 men on base through the first 6 innings, the Hunters were able to push across 4 runs in the top of the 7th to take the lead thanks to several professional at bats. The Hunters were professionally led offensively by Steve Caruso (3/5, 2RBI) and Alex Hansen (3/5). Bob “O-Pedic” Hansen continues to keep the most professional book in the league. For the Rebels, Ian Pearce pitched a strong game and kept the Hunters in check through the first 6 innings. The Rebels were led offensively by Ciro Rosario ( 1/3, 1HR).

Pat O’Neill hurled a complete game giving up 2 runs with 9 K’s. Kevin McDonnell was 3-3, Joe Aniki 2 RBI’s, and Kyle Guisto, Teddy Gravel, and Will Gerski had RBI’s.

Naugatuck Dogs 2 Blasius Chevrolet 0
Lance Stevens picked up the win for Naugy pitching 5 innings allowing 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 7. Sean Miller-Jones 2 RBI double scoring George Harlamon and Ryan Plourde in the top of the 3rd was the difference maker. Gary Novakowski threw a complete game allowing 7 hits while striking out 5. Ryan Plourde had 3 hits and Jeff Rustico added a double for the Dogs. Steve Carosella and Lou Serrano each singled for Blasius.
