Bethlehem Plowboys 17 Naugatuck Nightmare 4

Another day, another Plowboy W Thursday night in Naugatuck as Bethlehem bested the new guys 17-4. Sam Williams got the start for Bethlehem throwing 3 strong innings allowing 3 runs, and striking out 3 batters. Williams was followed by Keegan Daigle throwing 2 innings striking out 4 batters without allowing a hit, and surprise surprise, Dan Keckler shut the door again pitching 2 strong innings striking out 4. But the bats are what stayed for the Plowboys as they were led by Joe Rupe and Gabe Russo each scattering 4 hits in the batters box while Jesse Swartout added 3 hits to his hot start to the season as well. Every Plowboy starter reached base (again) including all 3 reserves that got into the game, even Kyle Guisto! The Nightmare were led by Mark Strauss and Brandon Spadolino who each got on base 3 times with Spadolino scoring 2 of the teams 4 runs. Bethlehem next takes on there old friends the Amenia Monarchs Thursday night in Amenia and the Plow is hungry to recover from the sweep Amenia gave them last year.
