Watertown 11, Thomaston 3: The Blaze pounded out 14 hits, including four that went for extra bases, in a big win over the Spoilers at Thomaston High School. Chris Ayer led the way, going 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Mike Mastrocola, Chris Comeau, and Chris Laliberte each added doubles. Jay Spear picked up the win for Watertown, which improves to 8-1. Andy Romano drove in two runs for Thomaston (6-4). Shawn McGree added a triple for the Spoilers.
Naugatuck 8, Prospect 3: Ian Sullivan went the distance, giving up 7 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 5. Mackey Cianciolo went 2-4 with a run scored, Ricky DeLaRosa went 3-4 with 2 RBI, and George Harlamon went 1-3 with a double and run scored. For Prospect, Mike Augelli went 3-3 with a double and an RBI.
