Wolcott Scrappers 2 Southington 66ers 1
Zach Sehnal went the distance allowing 5 hits and striking out 6 to lead Wolcott. Wolcott trailed 1-0 heading to the bottom of the seventh when Joel Acosta led off with a walk. Ryan Andrade bunted him over to second when Israel Lugo followed with an RBI single to bring in Acosta from third (moved up on a balk). Then Elvis Martinez, Ryan Soucy and finally Eric Soucy all walked to bring home the winning run. Richie Martineau pitched well in the loss allowing 3 hits while striking out 8 but walking 7. Wolcott 4-3, Southington 2-5
Naugatuck Dogs 12 Bristol Greeners 2
Matt Zahornasky pitched 6 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5 to lead Naugy to a 12-2 victory over Bristol. The Dogs were led by Kyle Murphy who went 2-3 with a home run, triple, and 2 RBI’s. Devin Murphy went 2-3 with an RBI double and Ryan Plourde added 2 hits including a 3 RBI double for Naugy. TJ Wyrebeck went 2-3 with a double for Bristol.
