Terryville Black Sox 9 Bethlehem Plowboys 0 (Wed night)

The Black Sox pounded out 11 hits on the way to a 9-0 win over the Bethlehem Plowboys Wednesday night.  Andrew Hinckley remained red hot adding his 3rd home run in 3 games while Gavin Lavallee hit his first home run of the season.  Alex Rauso, Connor McEvoy and Kody Kerski all added two hits a piece.  On the mound, 4 Sox pitchers scattered two hits while striking out seven. 

Winsted Whalers 5 Valley Thunder Ducks 3

The Ducks came out of the gate hot, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the first lead by Joe Daddona (2b, RBI, R) and Mike Parentesu (2b 2RBI, R.)  However, the combination of Austin Brochu and Drew Warren on the mound for Winsted was able to keep the Ducks off balance for the remainder of the 6-inning, darkness shortened, game. Winsted rose to the challenge and 2 runs in the third inning, 2 runs in the fourth inning and 1 more run in the fifth inning.  Winsted was lead at the plate by Rick Langer (3-4, R) and Drew Warren (3b, R, 2RBI.) Other highlights include John Lippincott snapping an Ofortheseason skid with a double in the second inning and John Ambrozaitis making his season debut at the plate with a leaveitonethefieldhustle single.
Winsted is in action again on Saturday 6/5 at Muzzy field as the Tristate League faces off against the Connecticut Twilight League.

Bethlehem Plowboys 7 Blasius Chevrolet 0

Justin Koutros went 5+ innings allowing 4 hits, striking out 2. Koutros got into some early trouble after going 1,2,3 in the first as Blasius loaded the bases in the second inning on three straight singles but Koutros struck out the next 2 batters and got a fly to center to get out of the jam. In his Plowboy debut, Ryan Bethin went 2-3 with a double and single to get Bethlehem on the board with 2 early RBI’s. Matt Tehan added a RBI double late to add to the Plow lead while Matt Mancini, Mike Milius, and Drew Colavecchio all reached base twice. Blaise Russo relieved Koutros in the sixth inning with 2 runners on and got a double play ball and fly out to escape another Blasius rally and close out the game for the first Bethlehem win of the year. Jon Conlan and Steve Carosella both reached base twice for Blasius.

Southington 66ers 7 Twisters 1

Kevin Lawrence led the 66ers going 6 strong innings scattering six hits while striking out 8. Offensively Dan Neal had 3 hits, Pat Smith, Pat Reymond, Nick Yousefzadeh each added 2 hits while 7 other 66ers added hits as well. For the Twisters, Travis Wyant added a home run and long single off the fence while Bryan Carr added two hits.
