Litchfield Cowboys beat the Southington 66ers 7-1 tonight riding another strong performance from Steve Consiglio going 6 innings 4 hits 4 strikeouts and one unearned run. Steve was backed by Brooks Belter 2-2 with a solo homerun and rbi single, Collin Dickinson 1-2 with an rbi, and Edwin Pequignot 1-4 with an rbi. Alex Milne came in and shut the door with a solid 7th inning. Tim Jalbert went 2-3 with Southingtons lone run. The Cowboys play 2 games this weekend, Saturday at home against East Mountain and Sunday at Tribury.
Wolcott Scrappers 5 Valley Thunder 4
Mike Vaccarelli (rbi double), Jack Drewery (2 hits, rbi) Elvis Martinez (2 hits) and Mike Perugini (hit, rbi) led Wolcotts offense on Thursday. Mike Perugini also had the walkoff fielders choice scoring Ryan Soucy to win the game. Allan Stinson picked up the win in relief. Matt Meier went the distance for Valley and also had two hits. Wolcott improves to 8-4, Valley falls to 6-5.
