Valley Thunder 2    Amenia Monarchs 1

The valley thunder defeated the Amenia Monarchs 2-1 during Sunday’s action. Pat Romano tossed a 9 innings complete game for the thunder surrendering three hits and allowing one run. Romano also contributed a double and scored a run for the thunder who improve to 6-6. Tom Downey had a double for amenia. Mac Dunlop also pitched well as he went 8 innings allowing five hits and striking out 9.

Canton Crushers 7   Wolcott Scrappers 5

Taylor Riley went the distance on the mound for the Crushers struck out 5 and walked 2 batters. Ben Sullivan went (2-4)with a double and a triple, Jimmy Spirito, Nick Michanczyk and Heath cotton also had two hits for canton including doubles. Wolcott was lead by Allen S who went(4-4) with 4 singles Tyler S (2-3)with 2 doubles and Stevie V crushed a triple in the first inning. Canton hits the Field again Thursday @ Burlington Hunters

Bethlehem Plowboys 12    Torrington Rebels 1

Rob Geraci complete game win with six strikeouts and only three hits allowed. Mike Milius and Teddy Gravel were each 3-4 on the day with Milius 3 RBI and Gravel 2 RBI. ‘Thank you for your service’ Kyle Guisto added 3 RBI in the Plow 12-1 victory.

Terryville Black Sox 8   Litchfield Cowboys 3

Finishing off a beautiful July 4th weekend the Black Sox of Terryville defeated the Litchfield Cowboys 8-3 behind Andrew Hinckley’s 6innings 11 strikeouts of work where the only runner to reach base was on a strike three passed ball. Offensively Terryville was led by Chris Ayer 3-4 2RBI and Christian Callahan 2-4 2B 2RBI. Brooks Belter and Steve Harrison both singled and scored for Litchfield. Terryville will travel to walker field Tuesday to take on the Winsted Whalers.
