Wolcott Scrappers 7    Bethlehem Plowboys 3

On a hot Sunday morning in Bethlehem Wolcott scrapper defeated the plow boys 7-3. Wolcott got another great start from Isaiah Negretti who went 6 innings allowing 5 hits, 1 ER, and 4 K’s. Jay Palais came into close out the game in 7th inning. Wolcotts bats came alive with several players having multiple hits. Brendan Clark went 3-4 with 2 singles and homerun 3 runs scored and 2 rbi, Matt Warren had a dble and homerun with 1 run scored and 1 rbi, Alan Stinson 2 singles 1 run, Mike Pepe 2 singles 1 run 1 rbi , and Ike Negretti 2 singles and 1 run scored. For the plowboys Drew Colaveccia allowed 12 hits , 6 ER and had 5 strikeouts. Colaveccia also had 2 hits with 1 run and 1 rbi, Justin Taylor had a dble and 1 rbi and Joe Fainer 1 hit, 1 rbi and 1 scored.

Bethlehem Plowboys 9   Winsted Whalers 1

Jon WIlson 3-3 with 2runs scored and 3 stolen bases, Greg Campbell 2-4 with 2 RBI’s, Justin Taylor pitched a complete game allowing 1 earned run, with 4 K’s only allowing 2 hits, while having 2 hits of his own at the plate and 2 RBI’s at the dish.

Litchfield Cowboys 11   Torrington Rebels 1

Hot Sunday morning Litchfield closed out a 3 game weekend with another win, this time coming in a 8 inning run rule victory over Torrington. Koutros hurled another quality start going 6 innings 1 run and 7 strikeouts to pick up his 6th victory. Cowboy offensive contributions was spread out well with rbis coming from everyone in the lineup backed by great defense. Torrington pushed their lone run across in the second with a string of quality at bats. Cowboys next game comes Tuesday at southington.

Bristol Greeners 8   Tribury Cave 7

The Bristol Greeners defeated the Tribury Cave at Waterville Park by a score of 7-6. Bristol was led by Ryan Bodley with three hits, while Jerry LaPenta, Jake Dubrosky and Brandon Porrier all had two hits. Kenny Knox got the win in relief, pitching two scoreless innings. Tribury was led by Tom Rinaldi, who went 4-4 with a double.

Amenia Monarchs 6   Southington 66ers 0

The Monarchs were able to pick up their 3rd win of the weekend and 4th in a row Sunday beating Southington 6-0 at Doc Bartlett field. The Monarchs Ace Mackenzie Dunlop took the mound and asked his teammates to give him a little run support! Something the Amenia boys had failed to do in most of Mack’s previous starts. I little change in the lineup worked perfectly as in the second inning Leshawn Thrasher, 3-4, hit a single, his younger twin brother Andy Thrasher walked and Big Ken “Twinkle toes” Shufelt hit a double in the gap scoring the twins. Amenia would go on to add 4 more runs in the 7th with Tom Downey hitting a 2RBI single to give the Monarchs a little breathing room. Mackenzie Dunlop held up his end of the bargain and pitched a complete game shutout scattering 4 hits with 10 Strikeouts. Monarchs young 3rd baseman Nick Reilly had himself a day going 3-4 at the plate and looked like a vacuum over at the Hot corner. Nick Yousefzadeh pitched well for Southington and added hit. T. Williams, E. Padden, and A. Moura all added a hit a piece for the Sixers
