Waterbury Wild 4, Wolcott Scrappers 2: Ken Kerski tossed a complete game allowing two runs with nine strikeouts to lead Waterbury past Wolcott in the first game of a best-of-three series in the Tri-State playoffs.
Kerski also tripled and had two RBI. Kyle Kerski had two hits for the Wild, while Brad DeVito added one hit and two runs scored.
Eric Soucy had two doubles for the Scrappers, and Adam LaCapra chipped in with two hits.
Tri-Town Trojans 5, Bethlehem Plowboys 2: Miles Scribner scattered six hits and two walks with three strikeouts while allowing only two runs in seven innings as Tri-Town defeated Bethlehem in the Tri-State playoffs.
Connor Murray led the Trojans with two hits, including a double, and an RBI, while Mike Fabiaschi added a single and a double.
Kyle Osolin contributed with a double, an RBI and a run scored, and Landon Gardella and Joe Bunnell each chipped in with a single, an RBI and a run scored.
Chris Callahan and Pat McGee had two hits apiece for the Plowboys, and Jon Conlon singled and had an RBI.
Terryville Black Sox 6, Naugatuck Dogs 3: Billy Armstrong gave up six hits and allowed no runs while striking out seven to earn the win for Terryville over Naugy in Tri-State playoff action.
Chris Alberto had a single and a double for the Black Sox, and Mike Morrison added a two-RBI double.
Dave Alarcon threw one inning allowing no runs to earn the save.
Sean Miller-Jones and Kyle Murphy each had a single and a run scored for the Dogs.
Bristol Greeners 4, Litchfield Cowboys 3: Geoff Pierce allowed just one hit and one earned run while striking out three in six innings to earn the win for Bristol in the Tri-State playoffs at Fuessenich Park in Torrington.
Marco Ross had two hits and two RBI for the Greeners, while Tyler McIntyre added two hits, including a double, and an RBI.
In the seventh inning, McIntyre and Ross recorded back-to-back base hits, followed by three consecutive walks giving Bristol the 4-3 lead.
Chris Beach hit a two-run home run for the Cowboys, and Adam Claire had two hits and an RBI.
