Bethlehem Plowboys 7 Burlington Hunters 2

Plow wins over the Beaver Hunters 7-2, Justin Koutros threw a complete game allowing 8 hits, walking 3 batters and striking out 7, Jon Wilson went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases to keep things moving on the base paths for Plow, Isaiah Johnson went 1-3 but had some clutch outs knocking in 3 guys throughout the day, while Andrew Luis was also able to knock in 2 runners. Joe Rupe went 3-4 also scoring 2 runs and stealing two bags while Matt Tehan was able to lase a triple past the center fielder in the 6th to help add some insurance runs for the Plow. Zaruba for the Hunters got the team on the board blasting a homer to right center in the 4th while Andrew Bunger added an RBI as well

Twisters 6 Torrington Rebels 4

The Twisters moved to 3-4 with a 6-4 win Saturday’ over The Torrington Rebels at Fuessenich Park. The Twisters had 12 hits and 4 solo homers but kept the game close with their terrible base running. Jim Lamanna homered twice and  Marcus Bloom and Travis Wyatt also deposited balls in the Naugatuck River. DJ “Sniper” Reynolds chipped in a wall ball n another knock for the Twisters. Bloom had 2 hits and  Matt Sokol went 5 strong in the heat and Jake Reynolds got the last 6 outs for the save. Brandon Kinahan called and caught an outstanding game.
The Rebels  had 5 hits only  but  hung around to their credit got a double from Greg Bodnar and their pitcher Francis went the distance in the high heat and worked his way out of jams in almost every inning..

Tri-Town Trojans 14 Southington 66ers 4

Miles Scribner pitched a complete game 9 innings only giving up 1 earned run, adding 9Ks. Offensively, Trojans were led by Austin “Peggy” Patenaude (3-4, 3 Runs, 3 RBIs, SB) and Nick “Rube Baker” Sordi (3-5, 2 Runs, Rbi, SB). Southington were led by the TWO Pats of the team; Raymond and Smith both had a multiple hit game, while Pat Smith knocked in three of the four runs.

Wolcott Scrappers 4 Winsted Whalers 1

Wolcott scrappers defeated Winsted Whalers 4-1 on Saturday on Winsted. Ike Negretti pitched a a complete game hen scattering 6 hits , not allowing any walks and striking out 4. The scrappers were lead offensively by Matt Warren with 3 singles and 2 runs scored , Jack Drewry with 2 triples and 1 run scored , Nolan Cloutier with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s and Steve Urbanski with 2 hits. Winsted played a flawless game defensively with no errors and had a hit and Rbi from T Kent and a hit and run scored by B Tagliatella
