Billy Armstrong threw a complete game 9 innings 3-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the Black sox over the Rebels. Austin Pateneau had 2 hits for Torrington. Tyler Wenz had an RBI double for Terryville.
Amenia Monarchs 14 Burlington Hunters 4
The Monarchs earned a win today against Burlington with a score of 14-4. Amenia was led by Colby Dunlop who earned the W going 5 innings striking out 7 and scattering 4 hits. Offensively for Amenia Colby Dunlop and Caleb Huff were both 3-4.
Naugatuck Dogs 6 Litchfield Cowboys 4
Kyle Murphy had three hits and two RBI and Jeff Sturm added two hits as the Dogs defeated the Cowboys 6-4. Brian Wyrbeck gained the complete game victory with seven strikeouts for Naugy. Mike Odenwaelder had two doubles for Litchfield.
Canton Crushers 10 Waterbury Cougars 2

Pitcher Jake Bryant pitched six innings, allowed just five hits and struck out six to lead the Canton Crushers to a 10-2 Tri-State League baseball victory over the Waterbury Cougars Saturday at Crosby High. Bryant also got the job done at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI as Canton won their second straight game and scored a team-record 10 runs. Taylor Riley was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI while Trey Van deBogart, Heath Cotton and Sean Bahre each had a pair of hits for the Crushers, who had season-high 12 hits. For Waterbury (3-9), pitcher Travis Markey took the loss on the mound but had two singles at the plate. The 10 runs snapped the old record of nine against East Mountain and Burlington in separate games last summer. The Crushers have had 21 hits in the last two games. Canton had nine hits in a 5-4 win over Valley Thunder on Thursday. Canton returns to the diamond on Sunday when they take on the Monarchs in Amenia, N.Y. with a nine-inning game set to begin at 1 p.m.
