Piechowski throws no-hitter

Adam Piechowski threw a complete game 7-inning no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and Ricky Langer provided the only run he would need hitting a home run as Winsted knocked off Torrington 1-0 on Tuesday June 5. The Whalers improve to 3-2 while the Rebels fall to 1-3.

Waterbury was led by a trio of pitchers they allowed three hits with 12 strikeouts, offensively Shane Kingsley and Jordan Montgomery each had two hits apeice for Waterbury, who picks up its first win of the year. Chris Valente had two hits for Prospect.
