Dominic Severino and Steve Consiglio combined for a 1 hit shutout, striking out 7 as the Watertown Blaze beat the Brass City Brew 7-0. The De Lotto brothers led the offense for the Blaze. Garrett had 2 hits including a home run, double and 3 RBI. Nick added a double and 2 RBI. Fraz Kader had the lone hit for the Brew.
Naugatuck Dogs 4 Southington 66ers 2
Jeff Sturm pitched a complete game allowing two earned runs on 5 hits while striking out 6 to lead Naugy to a 4-2 victory over Southington at Rotary Field. Devin Murphy got the Dogs on the board in the first inning with a 2 RBI single scoring Ryan Plourde and Kyle Murphy. Naugy added two more in the second on a Kyle Murphy double scoring Chris Cuevas and Ryan Plourde. Alexis Melendez homered for Southington and Pat Smith added a double.
