you coin flip at every game for home team. Seedings do not matter. If a team goes undefeated all the way to the championship game then that team will be the home team,,, otherwise flip a coin. Championship game will be ONE game only regardless if a team is undefeated or not.

Jeff Sturm pitched a complete game allowing 6 hits while striking out 4 to lead Naugy to a 9-1 victory over the Wilton Barons at Naugy High School. The Dogs got on the board in the 1st with a Kyle Murphy (1-3 2 RBI ,2 R) double that scored Jeff Sturm (2-3 2B, 2 runs) and tacked on two more with Jeff Rustico and Macky Ciancilo RBI’s. Naugy added 5 in the 4th behind a Devin Murphy sac fly, Sean Miller-Jones 2 RBI single, and a Jeff Rustico sac fly. E. Tyson went 2-3 with a run scored and Napolitano had a sac fly for Wilton.
The Black Sox won opening night in the state tournament 4-2 thanks to a complete game 1ER outing from Austin Brochu. Brochu escaped quite a few jams before giving up 2 in the top of the 7th. Chris Callahan hit a 2RBI triple in the 3rd to put the Black Sox on the scoreboard and was then driven in with a base hit from Justin Morehardt who later doubled in a run. All star had the tieing run at first with 1 out when Vinny Palisko lined out to short and the runner at 2nd got doubled off to end the game. Joe Mercuria had 3 of All Stars 7 hits.
Zach Sehnal tossed a three hitter with six strikeouts to lead Wolcott to a 2-1 opening night victory. Elvis Martinez had an RBI single and Ryan Soucy followed with an RBI double in the third inning. Danbury only mustered three infield singles and an unearned run off of Sehnal.

Bryan Wyrebek pitched a complete game allowing just three hits while striking out 12 to lead Naugy to a 6-0 victory over the Danbury Grizzlies at Rotary Field. The Dogs were led by Jeff Sturm (1-3 BB, R, 2 RBI), Sean Miller-Jones (1-2 2BB, 2 SB, R), and Kyle Murphy (1-2 2 BB, RBI). Jeff Rustico added 2 RBI and Christian Cuevas went 1-2 with 2 runs scored. DJ Oulette was 2-3 for the Grizzlies.
Billy Armstrong threw a complete game allowing 7 hits and striking out 10. Rob Mclam had 2 hits and Mike Morrison had 3 with Justin Morehardt collecting 3 hits and 2RBI. Schwitzer and Capra bith tripled for the Pirates and Nick Abatello threw 5 inn of 1 run baseball in relief.
The Trojans scored 5 runs in the top of the first inning and Miles Scribner did the rest by allowing one hit through five innings. Landon Gardella (2 hits, 2 RBIs), Kyle Osolin (2 hits, 3 RBIs), Sam Shurberg (2 hits) and Joe Bunnell (2 RBIs) led the Trojans on offense.

Jesse Vermeech threw five innings and struck out four to lead Wolcott to a 10-4 victory over Terryville. Eric Soucy (RBI single) Kyle Dean (RBI triple) Mike Vaccarelli (RBI triple) Israel Lugo (RBI single) Jesse Ullrich (2 RBI triple) and Mike Perugini (RBI single) all contributed to Wolcott seven run third inning. Zach Dandrea had an RBI single and Justin Morhardt had a three run homerun for Terryville.
Adam Piechowski pitched a complete game going 5 innings allowing just 1 hit while striking out 6 to lead Naugy to an 11-0 victory over Fairfield Baseball Club at Naugy High School. The Dogs were led by Sean Miller-Jones (2-3 HR, 2 RBI), Jeff Sturm (0-0 2 BB, HBP 3 R), Kyle Murphy (1-1 2B, R), and Devin Murphy (2-2 2 2B, 3 RBI, R). Ryan Russell and Jeff Rustico each added 2 RBI for Naugy. Joe Dulca singled for Fairfield.
