Litchfield Cowboys win over the Watertown Blaze 13-6. Kevin Murray threw 8 and 1/3 innings. The defending champion Cowboys were lead by Steve Harrison who had three hits including a home run as well as Ed Pequignot who added a home run and a triple. Victor Rodriguez also tripled and knocked in two runs. Cowboys take on the Watertown Blaze again Tuesday at 5:45.

Wolcott Scrappers 3 Tri-Town Trojans 2
Zach Sehnal picked up the win throwing seven innings striking out five and scattering eight hits. TJ Williams threw the last two innings to finish it off. Israel Lugo had a two run double and Ryan Andrade had the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh. Landon Gardella had two RBI singles for Tri-Town.

Jeff Sturm, Adam Neveski, and Macky Cianciolo combined for a complete game shut out allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six to lead Naugy to a 2-0 victory over Torrington at Rotary Field. The Dogs got on the board in the 4th inning when Kyle Murphy doubled and scored on a Jeff Rustico single. Macky Cianciolo added a home run in the 8th inning for Naugy. Greg Bodnar had 2 hits for Torrington

Tuesday August 2:
Watertown Blaze 17 Litchfield Cowboys 1
Dom Severino, Steve Consiglio and Brooks Belter combined to scatter 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 5 as the Blaze defeated the Litchfield Cowboys 17-1 in game 2. After a much needed rest day, the Blaze bats came alive early scoring 13 runs in the first 2 innings. Conor McEvoy and Brian Fay led the 21 hit attack as McEvoy had 4 hits and 3 RBI while Fay had 4 hits including 2 doubles and an RBI. Drew Gauvain doubled and had an RBI for Litchfield. Game 3 will take place tonight at 7pm at Washington Park in Waterbury.
