Winsted scored three in the top of the 1st and every time Amenia would get close they’d jump out again. Finally in the 7th Amenia took the lead 7-6 on small ball and timely hitting. Amenia would score one more in the 8th making it 8-6 going into the 9th. The top of the 9th Winsted scored 1run making it 8-7 and loaded the bases with no outs. Young shortstop Chris Reed came in relief of Leshawn Thrasher and got 3 quick outs ending the game and series. Hats off to Winsted on a tough last 3 games for the Monarchs (including regular season finale)!
