Winsted Whalers 2 Brass City Brew 1
The Whalers defeated the Brew 2-1 on Thursday night action. Ben McGreal had 3 hits and Connor Guiheen and Robert Weiss had two hits apiece for Winsted. Luis Serrano, Paul Novakowski, Eric Rov and Fraz Kadar each had one hit for the Brew. Wachas threw a complete game for Brass City, taking the loss. Ben Schumacher threw 5 innings and Austin Brochu threw two innings for the Win.
Tri-Town Trojans 10 Amenia Monarchs 1
Bobby Chatfield took the win, pitching 7 innings allowing 5 hits with 5 strikeouts. On offense, the Trojans struck for 3 runs in the first inning with an RBI triple from Steve Price, followed by double from Landon Gardella (2-4, 2 2B’s, 3 RBI’s) then a single from Kyle Osolin (2-4, 2 RBI’s). They would score more in the fifth inning off a 2-run homerun from Sam Shurberg (2-4, 3 RBI’s). Joe Bunnell (3-4) would add another with an RBI single. Eight Trojans had hits on the night. Kenny Shufelt off his weekend hot streak would add a double for Amenia.

Torrington Rebels 8 Litchfield Cowboys 6
The Rebels outlasted the Cowboys 8-6 Thursday night at litchfield high school. In a back and forth affair, Cody Lemieux picked up another win on the mound for the Rebels, going the distance. The Cowboys were lead by Ed Pequignot and Stanley Rijo at the plate. Roberto Santiago, Chris Beck, Austin Patenaude and Greg Bodnar all had a hit for the Rebels.
All other games rained out Thursday night.
