Waterbury Cougars 5 Wolcott Scrappers 4
Justin Proteau scattered 6 hits over 9 innings and Joe Galante got the final out with a shoestring catch with the tying runs on base as the East Mountain Cougars defeated the Wolcott Scrappers 5-3. Jessie Vermeech also went the distance for Wolcott.
Torrington Rebels 7 Naugatuck Dogs 1
The Torrington Rebels beat The Naugatuck Dogs 7-1 Sunday afternoon at Fuessenich Park. Chris Greatorex went the distance, allowing just one run through nine innings. Nick Yousefzadeh led the Rebels at the plate (3-4, 3B, 2B, 2 RBI) while Lenyn Napoleon and Roberto Santiago added solo home runs. Kyle Murphy and Devin Murphy each had a single and a walk at the plate for Naugatuck.
Burlington Hunters 6 Bristol Greeners 5
The Burlington Hunters defeated the Bristol Greeners on Sunday. Alex Stackpole lead the way for Burlington from the mound throwing 8 and 2/3 innings, giving up just 1 Earned Run and throwing 12 K’s. It was a back and forth game through four innings, but Burlington leaped by two ahead in the fifth with hits by Andrew Bunger, Ty Morin, and Alex Hansen. Alex Stackpole helped himself on the mound by driving in Burlington’s 6th run in the 8th, but Bristol wasn’t done. After starting the top of the ninth inning with two outs, Bristol managed to rally back and score two runs thanks to a hit by Jake Durrosky. Ty Morin came to the mound to shut the door on the Greeners, ending the game at a score of 6-5. Tony Nicoletti had three hits for Bristol, and Andrew Bunger had a three-hit appearance for Burlington.
With the win Burlington advances to 3-8 and Bristol falls to 1-10.
Watertown Blaze 10 Canton Crushers 4
Chris Callahan had 3 hits including a 3 run home run and 5 RBI to lead the Blaze to a 10-4 win over the Canton Crushers. Nick Delotto had 3 hits and 2 RBI, Chris Ayer had 3 hits and Tony Patane, Garrett DeLotto, Kyle Tehan and Alex Miller all added 2 hits each. Mike Zammitt, Jeff Muhall and Taylor Riley all had 2 hits for Canton.
Southington 66ers 7 Winsted Whalers 6
Pat Smith led Southington’s offense with two doubles and three RBI and Kyle Dube had three hits while Josh Dobratz added two hits and an RBI, Tim Jalbert chipped in with an RBI single, Brayden Cooney added a double, and Dave Randazzo singled. For Winsted, Rick Langer had three hits while John Lippincott, Connor Guilheen, Andy Billis, and Dave Warren chipped in with hits.
Terryville Black Sox 11 Valley Thunder 0
Kenny Kerski threw seven innings with 14 strikeouts and Taylor Donofrio combined on a one hitter for the Black Sox.
At the plate Jake Tehan delivered a two run Home-run while Billy Armstrong and Ian Schmidt both tallied three hits on the day. Matt Meier had the lone hit for Valley.

Litchfield Cowboys 11 Amenia Monarchs 3
Cowboys take the win over Amenia 11-3. Dan Hedden had the win for the cowboys pitching 7 scoreless innings and striking out 10. Colin Dickinson and Brookes Belter added hits and RBI for the cowboys.
