Recap: The Watertown Blaze won their first round state tournament game 1-0 over the Milford Hunters. Charlie Benson picked up the win going 5 2/3 innings, allowing 3 hits and 3 strikeouts before giving way to Matt Quintana who struck out 4 of the 5 batters he faced. Chris Ayer had 2 hits for the Blaze while Chris Comeau scored the lone run.

Recap: Tyler Boisvert gave up four hits over six innings on the mound as the Dogs took a six inning mercy rule victory. Ryan Plourde had three hits and a pair of RBI while Devin Murphy contributed two hits and two RBI.

Recap: Zach Albin took a no-hitter into the 6th inning allowing 1 hit while striking out 9 over 6 innings of work as the Blaze beat All-Star Batting 8-2. Garrett DeLotto, Matt Calzone and Chris Ayer chipped in with 2 hits a piece for the Blaze and Mike Odenwaelder did his best Aaron Judge impression, hitting a 450 foot triple at Danbury High School.

Recap: Brian Gouin complete game shutout. Brian Schryver 3-3 and Anthony Amoroso Triple and scored game winning run on fielders choice by Joe Poletsky. Gary Novakowski pitched extremely well for Blasius in the loss.

Recap:The Watertown Blaze held off Fedell’s Mechanics 2-1 behind solid pitching and timely hitting. Alex Johnson picked up the win going 5 strong innings scattering 3 hits while striking out 6 before giving way to the bullpen. Christian Callahan led the offense with 3 hits including a bases loaded, RBI single. Tony Patane added 2 hits for the Blaze. Andrew Scully hit a solo home run in the 6th inning for Fedell’s.

Recap: The Watertown Blaze clinch a bid for the AABC World Series with an 8-0 win over the Terryville Black Sox. Garrett DeLotto had 4 hits including 2 home runs while Chris Callahan added 2 hits and a home run. Chris Comeau scored 3 runs and Alex Miller chipped in with 2 hits. The Blaze will take on Fedell’s Mechanics for the State Championship.

Recap: The Watertown Blaze remain unbeaten at 24-0 as they knocked off Fedells Mechenics of the Bridgport Senior City League 12-4 to be crowned AABC Stan Musial State Champions for the second year in a row. Charlie Benson picked up his 7th win of the season going 5 innings, scattering 4 hits and allowing 1 run. The Blaze jumped out to an early first inning lead, scoring 5 runs capped off by a Chris Callahan grand slam. Tony Patane added 3 hits including a solo home run and Garrett DeLotto hit a 3 run home run to end the game in the bottom of the 6th inning.
