Naugatuck Dogs 16 Downtown Merchants 2
Lance Stevens picked up the win allowing four hits and one walk while striking out 5 to lead Naugy to a 16-2 victory over the Downtown Merchants at Naugatuck High School. The Dogs offense was led by Ryan Plourde who hit two home runs. Kyle Murphy and Devin Murphy each homered for Naugy.
Watertown Blaze 2 Stradford Storm 0
Jake Kawiecki, Charlie Benson and Kyle Kennedy allowed only one hit while striking out 6 to lead the Blaze to a 2-0 victory over the Stratford Storm. Garrett De Lotto had 2 hits while Conor McEvoy added an RBI triple

Watertown Blaze 6 Naugatuck Dogs 3
Dom Severino picked up his 7th win of the season as the Watertown Blaze beat the Naugatuck Dogs 6-3. Severino went 5 innings allowing 2 hits while striking out 7. Matt Quintana finished off the last two innings allowing no hits and striking out 2. Chris Comeau led the offense with 3 hits including 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Garrett De Lotto added a 2 run home run while Matt Paola had 2 hits and 2 RBI.
For the Dogs, Kyle Murphy hit a solo home run and Sean Miller-Jones a 2 run home run

The Watertown Blaze won their second round State Tournament game 9-1 in 5 innings over the Downtown Merchants. Charlie Benson picked up the win on the mound going 5 innings, striking out 1. The Blaze bats were led by Chris Comeau with 2 hits, a double and 2 runs scored. Mike Fabiaschi added a double and 3 RBI and Chris Ayer a hit and 2 RBI. Conor McEvoy and Nick De Lotto both scored 2 runs.

Jeff Sturm picked up the win pitching a complete game going 8 innings allowing 3 hits and one intentional walk while striking out 3 to lead Naugy to a 1-0 victory over the Stratford Storm at Naugatuck High School. It was a well pitched game that saw just five hits through 7 innings until Sean Miller-Jones RBI single scored Jeff Sturm in the top of the 8th inning.

Tuesday July 26 Finals:
Watertown Blaze 1 Fedells Mechanics 0
The Watertown Blaze outlasted the Fedells Mechanics from the Bridgeport Senior City Baseball League for a 1-0 win in a pitchers Duel during the opening round of the State Tournament. Jesse Darcy took the mound for the Blaze, throwing 5 strong innings allowing 2 hits while striking out 7. Matt Quintana entered the game in the 6th inning to shut the door, throwing the last 2 innings, striking out 6. The lone run was scored in the 5th inning when Chris Comeau singled to lead off the inning, followed by a Matt Calzone walk and a Chris Ayer RBI single. Conor McEvoy kept the game tied when Fedells threatened in the 5th inning, throwing out the tying run attempting to score from second on a base hit to center field.
Mike Dellelis threw a complete game for Fedells scattering 3 hits while striking out 13.

Devin Murphy and Macky Cianciolo both had RBI singles for the Dogs. Jeff Rustico and Sean Miller-Jones each added RBI’s for Naugy.
