Aaron Maziarz was a beloved figure in both Litchfield and Torrington. Aaron is fondly remembered by many in Litchfield County as a respected restaurant manager, an avid traveler, and an all-around athlete. Aaron especially loved baseball; he played for the Litchfield Cowboys, followed by a run with the Torrington Rebels in which he was a key member of three Tristate championship teams in 2004, 2006, and 2007. Those special teams will never be forgotten by the Rebels, and Aaron’s family will forever be a special part of the Rebels Family.
Aaron’s family members were indelible supporters of the Rebels during those championship years, and it is the team’s honor and pleasure to be led by his son Andrew, as he throws out the first pitch this Thursday, July 19th at Fuessenich park in Torrington. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. and 100% of the proceeds will go towards the children’s scholarship fund.
